As the story goes..... Walkers Restaurant began as the Bobbysox back in 1944.
Although not in the current location, The Bobbysox moved to 223 Wellington only
a few years after opening. The Bobbysox remained a going concern and destination
for many years and, in fact, was one of London's hot weekend spots for teens!! Sometime
in the late sixties or early seventies, having passed to the ownerships of The Walker family,
the name was aptly changed to Walkers Restaurant. The small and cozy restaurant continued
to serve up London's best fish 'n chips to many a happy patron! Walkers is now operated in the same casual and easygoing manner that has helped to keep it a London tradition for all these years. We guarantee quality of food and hope to be serving fish 'n chips for years to come!! |
